From walks, to runs, to cycles, there are plenty of opportunities to join a team of brave challengers and fundraise for North London Cares to help tackle isolation and loneliness across Camden and Islington.

Rough Runner is an obstacle course challenge, combining distance running with a variety of unique obstacles along the way, each inspired by game shows such as Total Wipeout, Takeshi’s Castle, Gladiators, and Fun House.
Rough Runner is back in the city! Next year, they return to their London home, Morden Park, to host 5km and 10km obstacle routes within spitting distance of the Tube.
When: April 18th - 19th 2020
Minimum fundraising target: £100
Run 13.2 miles through vibrant East London on flat and fast city streets. The cheering crowds will carry you past highlights like the Hackney Downs and the Hackney Empire plus there will be live bands and DJs at every mile to keep you going. Cross over the finish like into a full festival of fitness on the Hackney Marshes.
When: Sunday 17th May 2020
Minimum fundraising target: £300
This year, Team North London Cares is taking on the London 2 Brighton Challenge! Join us to walk from London to Crawley (56km) or London to Brighton (100km).
Our walks are the highlight of our challenge calendar. Not only are they a test of stamina and determination, but they are also an amazing team event, where you'll might find you make friends for life, as well as new walking buddies. Start off in beautiful Richmond, where you'll follow the river down to Kingston before you traverse across to Brighton over the beautiful south downs.
When: Sunday 23/24th May 2020 (Bank Holiday weekend)
Registration: £10 (56km) or £15 (100km)
Minimum fundraising target: £395 (56km) or £595 (100km)
Don your mask and cape, and take to the streets of London for 5km run around the sites of London. Starting at the Millenium Bridge the route then takes you along the historic south embankment, passing Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and Borough Market before crossing over Southwark Bridge and returning to the City!
When: Thursday 11th June 2020 at 7pm
Minimum fundraising target: £100
See more of London this summer and join us at the ASICS 10k. Running through central London you will take in the capital's most historical landmarks, from Trafalgar Square to St Pauls. With live music at every kilometre, this run is perfect for those taking on their first running challenge or those looking for their personal best.
When: 5th July

Minimum fundraising target: £175
Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 is the most popular cycling event in the U.K as riders enjoy 100 miles of cycling on closed roads.
There is often huge demand for this race, so we are delighted to have seven race spots up for grabs.
When: Sunday 16th August 2020
Minimum fundraising target: £400
Our second Ultra Walk of the year, takes you all along the Thames Path for either 50km or 100km. The full Thames Path Challenge 100km route heads from Putney Bridge past Hampton Court to Runnymede of Magna Carta fame at 50km, then on past wonderful scenery that's steeped in history all the way to Henley.
When: Saturday 12th September (+ 13th September for 100km challengers)

One of London's most iconic half marathons, the Royal Parks Half Marathon's stunning 13.1 mile route takes in the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens. Be one of the 16,000 runners to take on this year's epic challenge.
When: 11th October 2020
Minimum fundraising target: £350
Santa in the City is London's iconic 5k Santa Run. Back again in 2020 this Santa Run is the only event where you'll run past some of the most iconic locations in the world, dressed as a santa! It is the perfect way to get you, your friends and family into the London festive spirit. Get a team together and join us (no reindeer needed) 🎄
When: Thursday 3rd December at 7pm
Minimum fundraising target: £100 per person
