Yesterday, we started our Christmassy series of 12 blog posts looking back over the work our amazing volunteers have done this year. Next up, February...

Throughout the month, we continued to work on The Big Chill project.

Our volunteers knocked on thousands of doors in Islington. They distributed blankets to older people in need, and carbon monoxide and cold alarms to people anxious about the bitter weather.

Here's Oli talking about his experience:

We also began expanding our Love Your Neighbour project to connect volunteers to their older neighbours who need a little practical support around the home.

In February, those younger people cleaned windows, chopped at unruly gardens, escorted people to the doctor and just enjoyed a little time and companionship.

We also built a partnership with the London Metropolitan University, putting together "Welcome to Holloway" events that would come to fruition later in the year.

Stay tuned for more on that over the coming days -- and sign to get involved in your community.
