We had to show you this lovely clip and some photos of the event we arranged this morning...

We brought the youngsters of The Gower School in Islington together with their older neighbours round the corner at the Claremont Project...for a lovely concert of Carol Singing!

The choir of littl'uns (aged between 5 and 10) gave beautiful renditions of 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas', 'The Twelve Days of Christmas', 'Away in a Manger' and many others.

But the best was saved for last -- with the children's unique encore version of 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer', which contained extra lyrics like "had a very shiny nose (like a lightbulb!)" and "would even call him names (like fishface!)".

The older members at the Claremont Project lapped it up and had a great time.

We were also able to speak to lots more people about the importance of staying warm this winter, and the extra services we are running to make sure everyone stays healthy, active and connected during the cold snap.

Volunteers are attending Christmas parties, lunches, tea dances, social clubs and other events hosted by North London Cares and our partners, providing that little extra companionship at an otherwise isolating time.
