Plan B, Ping Pong, Marley...just a few of the things coming up this autumn -- sign up to volunteer!

Last night, Mike and Mitzi spent some time listening to Plan B's Ill Manors at Mitzi's flat in Islington.

It's not the sort of interaction you'd necessarily expect but that's exactly what North London Cares is all about -- brokering the types of positive relationships that might not naturally occur, and connecting older and isolated people to the world around them and younger people who can support them.

Of course, Mike -- a charity worker who lives in Haringey -- also had a blast.

If you'd like to get involved in this type of volunteering, please sign up today by entering your email address on the right of this page. We make participation as easy as possible, and aim to get you mingling with your older neighbours ASAP.

As the autumn approaches and the clocks go back in a fortnight, we're also offering plenty in the way of cultural and social indoor interaction. So you can watch a film with your older neighbours, escort people to concerts on your lunch hour, visit care homes with us, or just join one of our forthcoming discussion groups.

Each one of those small interactions can have a big positive impact on our older neighbours' lives, so please do sign up to get involved this autumn.
