Introducing South London Cares

Within a few weeks, NLC's brand new sister network, South London Cares, will begin the work of mobilising young professional volunteers to support their older neighbours below the river in Southwark and Lambeth.

employment networks to match volunteers to attractive and flexible opportunities that bring people together across generational and social divides in order to tackle isolation and loneliness at the root.

South London Cares will also work deliver Love Your Neighbour and Social Clubs programmes; but as a locally-run network it will also create its own unique projects.

It's an exciting time for all of us involved in the Cares model. We'll face new questions and challenges as we start up all over again, and we'll need to work hard to build the relationships and level of activity to match our efforts above the river. We can't wait!
