On Saturday North London Cares hosted our first ever Sing Along event, and what could we choose other than everyone's favourite musical The Sound Of Music?

Our volunteers came together to share food (including strudel) and to try to answer volunteer Liz's difficult quiz questions (can you name all of Captain Von Trapp's children in age order?). Then, armed with popcorn, nuns' habits and the all-essential props, we started the film at the very beginning. Everyone's vocal chords got some exercise during classic songs The Sound of Music, Climb Every Mountain, My Favourite Things and more. The Baroness was booed, Maria signs were waved in the air and party poppers were popped when they finally kissed.
