It's all about the chats.

"It's aways worth making the trip out to a club, even if the weather's rubbish. I always feel better after I've been to a club, no matter what activity it is. We always have a laugh and a chat." Janet explained to a new neighbour recently at a social club.

At North London Cares we pride ourselves on offering some new activities each month to keep welcoming new people into our programmes and also keeping it fresh for our regular neighbours.

However, all the clubs, plus our wonderful Love Your Neighbour programme, really offer the chance to chat and make connections and usually have a bit of a laugh at ourselves. The beauty of the chats are that they can go into all sorts of unexpected directions, creating chances for new connections and understanding.

As a community we welcome learning new things. We love it when a neighbour offers to run a club and share their skills, stories or knowledge with our community. Let's keep building on this and make 2023 the year to make even more connections through our chats.
