Join us in supporting our neighbours during the cold snap

Please sign up now to support some of our most vulnerable neighbours during the cold snap.

Over the past few days, north London has turned bitterly, bitterly cold. We all suffer that big chill -- but some of our most vulnerable neighbours suffer it harder: it's a sad and avoidable truth that many of our elderly and most isolated people will die this winter as a result of the cold.

By making a little extra effort to look out for our neighbours during these tough times, we can all do something to change that. That's why North London Cares, working with Islington Council and Age UK, are recruiting volunteers to knock on doors, raise awareness, hand out information and warm clothes, and to open new relationships this winter.

Over the coming weeks, we will have volunteers working to ensure the safety of our neighbours all across Islington--and we hope you will sign up to join us. Already in the past 24 hours, North London Cares volunteers have knocked on over 400 doors in the Harvist Estate, right next to the Emirates Stadium. In the next month, we want to knock on over 3,000 more.

Please sign up to join us to join us this Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, or tweet to @NLCares. Together, we can make sure our neighbours do not suffer the cold alone.

Thank you.
