Glastonbury came to Kentish Town this June, with neighbours taking to the stage to showcase all of their wonderful talents, with Roy, Martin, and John and June absolutely rocking the "main stage". The gang were all up on their feet clapping and singing along to classics such as Sweet Caroline performed by Mick.
Our neighbours were transported the green and rolling hills of Wales at our Cymru club where the neighbours enjoyed some Bara Brith, made some love spoons and had a go at pronouncing the second longest place name in the world. They also learnt some key welsh phrases, including clwb wych (great club) and diolch bawb (thanks all)!
Not only that, our neighbours have been learning beginners Spanish in Camden. Testing out their memory and linguistic skills, Jordan, Catherine, Zoe, Lauren and Sarath, Megan and Marlene and Ellen and Sarah had a great time learning a new skill while making new friends. Muy bueno, guys!
And to celebrate Eid, our neighbours took the opportunity to think about what they are grateful for, from "seeing people smile at me" to "the sound of birdsong". Afterwards, everyone wrote a positive message on a moon or a star for someone else to take home. As one neighbour wrote "You bring me joy!"
Indeed, what a joyous month June was - thank you to all of our volunteers and supporters who made it possible. We can’t wait to make July as equally special!
