Kate and Inez - and how one thing can lead to another

Sometimes, people just hit it off from the start. When our friends at Macquarie Group in Islington were kind enough to invite one of our social clubs for a tour of their high-tech offices, staff member Kate was introduced to older neighbour Inez and they immediately became buddies. When we suggested to Kate that she might like to visit Inez socially through our Love Your Neighbour one-to-one programme, she jumped at the chance – and they haven’t looked back since.

You can’t visit Inez without her laying on a spread of coffee and snacks, sourced from her encyclopaedic knowledge of the Italian delis of the West End. So Kate will pop in on Inez after work for a coffee (or occasionally something stronger!) and a good old chinwag. They’ve also been out shopping on Oxford Street and Inez has introduced Kate to some of her favourite Soho hangouts. Kate said “they treat Inez like a celebrity round there!”
