Our Kentish Town Social Club is new to the North London Cares calendar, but the adventurous and enthusiastic group is certainly making up for lost time!
The club meets Wednesdays from 3.30pm till 6pm and enjoy a varied schedule.
This week we were making tea with volunteers from the fantastic team from Rootless Garden. Given free reign to create their own concoctions, the group came up with their delicious signature tea – ‘Ethel’s Petals’ – made from Rose, Elderflower and limeflower! It was a lovely afternoon – made even better for Andreas thanks to Chantal, who signed up to volunteer with NLC only last week, and spent the afternoon speaking French to our favourite neighbour from across the stream!
Other activities have included:
Table Tennis – It was the first time Laura, 92, had ever played!
Board games, sharing histories through photos...
And watching Hollywood classics alongside our volunteers...
We’ve got bread making, a technology clinic and pancake making to come so if you’d like to join in the fun please sign up today, or if you’re already on our mailing list, email [email protected].
