Last week, we were chuffed to be one of four charities chosen by The Funding Network to pitch for support from generous Londoners.
The Funding Network is a friendly ‘Dragons' Den’ for small charities. During the course of an evening, lovely locals come together to hear from organisations tackling some of Britain and the world's most serious issues.
Each charity is given six minutes to pitch their vision, followed by six minutes of Q&A. It’s a fun, supportive and involving event, and North London Cares was really proud to be invited alongside the wonderful Nyaka Aids Orphans Project, JAGS Foundation and CleanConscience.
Our CEO and Founder, Alex, spoke on the night. Check out his pitch below:
We were astounded that, on a six minute pitch, the TFN members contributed a total of £8,163 to North London Cares.
As a result, we'll be able to host more social clubs, get more creative and ensure more of our older neighbours across Camden and Islington feel visible, vibrant and valued in our ever-changing city.
Thank you so, so much to everyone who donated to North London Cares, and to The Funding Network for their support and guidance through the process. We had a blast!
