In January, after the success of their swinging 60s party last summer, the London Business School hosted another party celebrating the era but this time in Kentish Town - inviting neighbours Richard, Virdon and Laura to chat and share photos of the decade. Thank you to Rowena, Katie, Steph and their team for putting on a brilliant tea party and encouraging neighbours to share their stories and have a laugh.
Cellist and volunteer Fredi with pianist Andrew, came along to our first social club in February, our Monday Gig Night, to play some wonderful live classical music for their neighbours. A real treat on a cold night in Camden and a wonderful way to share their skill and talent with their neighbours.
Another highlights of the last three months was the launch of our Photography Club, where neighbours have got together to learn how to take wonderful portraits and share stories, while learning new skills. A massive thank you to the Mary Ward Centre for their support in helping us start our Photography Club and delivering fantastic and educational photography workshops. Read more here.
Emma and her colleagues Ester and Natasha at the Association of Charitable Foundations invited older neighbours Myra, Lucy and Arthur into their office to learn about how they support and work with foundations. After the presentation, they spent time with their neighbours, sharing time over board games and tea. All who went along had a lovely time - thank you for making it a wonderful day!
Finally, our Love Your Neighbour programme has gone from strength to strength over the past three months matching over 10 friends together to share regular time together, including matches Sophie and Maria, Daisy and Pierra, and Florence and Holly.
Not only have new friends been formed, but our current matches have continued to deepen - and we want to say a massive thank you to all our friends, who have been checking in and looking out for one another when it was there was so much snow and ice in north London.
