One of the best things about our North London Cares community is that wherever we go, our neighbours share their memories and experiences about this amazing city and about places they know or have come from. Some of our neighbours have lived in London their entire lives and others bring their experiences from all over the world.
Here are a few photos from Cally Park, Waterlow Park, Highbury and Holloway. As well as learning from each other we also learnt about the amazing people who lived around Bloomsbury and Highbury, LGTBQ+ history in Holloway and the rebels around Somers Town.
Getting out also provided the opportunity for surprises and adventures: In Waterlow Park some of the neighbours also called in to the photographic exhibition at Lauderdale House and in Somers Town they visited the new Space for Us local museum.
