Week on week, our film nights never fail to surprise and inspire...
In the last three months, North London Cares volunteers have hosted 18 film viewings for our older neighbours to enjoy.
They take place in community centres across Islington, and are proving really popular -- with between 25 and 40 people now turning up each week to see George Clooney, Michelle Williams, Colin Firth, Owen Wilson, Judy Garland and others do their thing on the silver screen.
These events are a brilliant way for younger people to meet with old, to share stories, and to get closer to the community.
In fact, the Film Nights are proving so popular that we're expanding them to locations around Islington -- and into Camden too.
That means we need as many people to sign up as possible, to help prepare sandwiches and make cups of tea, to have a natter with our older neighbours, and to offer local people a little social time that can make a genuine difference to their lives.
That's what North London Cares is all about: bringing people together and building the bonds of community over time.
