It was the world famous North London Cares Halloween party last week and the neighbours were out in force! Micheal and Virdon had been planning their outfits since last years party and they did not let us down, Micheals' costume was so scary that it took some of the neighbours ten minutes to realise it was him!
Virdon has been attending North London Cares social clubs for nearly six years and says that the parties are always her favourite.
"There is always a lovely atmosphere and lots of dancing which is what I love! I like to dress up in a costume and have had this one planned for a while"
Micheal has a tradition of wowing us with his outfits at the party and this year was no exception. Having made an incredible entrance and then danced the night away he was happy to take off his mask for the journey home!
"I think I'd be getting some funny looks on the 31 bus in this, even on Halloween!
Everyone pitches in to make the party a success, the week before the event we held a craft club to make some decorations. Older neighbour Manor was delighted to see the Ghosts that her and Martin had designed in pride of place on the ceiling at the party.
"As soon as I came here I was looking around for the ghosts, they look wonderful!"
Manor and Martin caught up again at the party and were having a great time chatting about their favourite North London Cares clubs.
If the incredible fashion wasn't enough then there were plenty of other things happening to keep people entertained. With stick the spider to the cobweb and throw the bean bag through the ghost's mouth to play the neighbours were queuing up to be part of the action. Marion and Cheryl were in fits of giggles and were already asking about plans for next years party.
The night flew by and soon it was time to pack up and make our way home, it's always a sign of a good party when people don't want to go and this one was no exception. Micheal rang the office the next day to say what a good time he'd had
"I loved it so much I've already ordered my costume for next year!"
We can't wait to see it!
