The London Olympics may be over, but its spirit goes on...

As our picture of the Peel Centre newsletter shows, Inez was 23 when the Olympic torch last came to town in 1948.

She went to Wembley to watch the opening ceremony -- and was so struck by the atmosphere that she really caught the Olympic bug. "It was an incredible moment, one I treasured", she said.

Now 87, Inez indulged the 2012 London Games too, enjoying every moment.

Our volunteers got to spend some time with Inez at the Peel Centre yesterday -- and it was great to see her excited and enthused all over again by her imminent trip to the Paralypmics. Sign up to spend some time visiting your older neighbours.
