In our brand new film all about NLC, hear from Lisa, Fred, Ann, Ajfer, Chloe, Fabienne and Alex about how this network of volunteers is tackling isolation in Camden and Islington - and what it means to be part of it. Please watch the short film, share and get involved!

"To be able to volunteer with North London Cares is really easy...That makes it appealing...You leave with a real buzz and a nice fuzzy feeling."

"It's nice that North London Cares has somewhere you can come together. It's not intimidating. Nothing feels forced. You just sit, drink tea, eat cake and chat away to each other. And you learn a lot - I think we're quite similar."

"It's just being there with the youngsters, to know that they want to talk to us: we can learn so much from them, and they can learn from us. It's changed my whole attitude towards the younger generation. These volunteers seriously are wonderful."

"She's put life back into me, she's put life back into me."

"I work very long hours, very much beind the desk. This gets you away from that. I love hearing all the old stories. They're all substituting grandparents for me. It's more of a treat than volunteering."

The film has been expertly made by our lovely friend Tim Marrinan, who also produced our Hidden Heroes series last year - we're grateful for his time and talent, and for the contribution of all our amazing volunteers, both in taking part in the film and with their big efforts throughout the year.

If you would like to be involved in North London Cares' Social Clubs or Love Your Neighbour projects, please sign up on the right hand side of this page.

And we'd love it if you could share this video far and wide - on Twitter, Facebook and by email with your friends. That way, we'll be able to recruit even more volunteers to hang out with even more neighbours in 2015.
