Yesterday was one of those really great days...

It was a day when we were reminded of the power of North London Cares' mission: "Connecting people, building communities."

It made me see things differently. I feel more part of a community, not just a religion or background. #WelcomeToHolloway

In partnership with London Metropolitan University, Arsenal in the Community, The Islington Ecology Centre, The North London Central Mosque and local councillors North London Cares took 25 students on a specially arranged walking tour of the area around their campus.

After discussions with each of the local groups, the students gathered at the mosque to discuss the importance and meaning of community, and in particular the unique heritage of our local area.
