We’re having a party!

Please join us on August 8th for a special volunteer social, summer shindig and little birthday party...

It's amazing to think that North London Cares is nearly 2 years old.

We've done a lot in that time: 138 Social Clubs; 100s of one-to-one interactions; 3 major programmes to support older people through harsh weather; a huge research project to learn how Islington pensioners build social resilience; a major street festival bringing neighbours togetherl; neighbourhood walks to introduce new students to community projects; trips to the LSO for older neighbours; and loads more.

It's been a whirlwind journey so far, and an absolute pleasure to work with so many inspiring north Londoners, young and old. But one thing we've never done is throw a thank you party for our great volunteers -- a chance to socialise and get to know one another over a drink and some music. This August 8th, we're putting that right.

Join the NLC board, supporters, funders, and other brilliant volunteers for a (hopefully) lovely summer's evening. It's a chance to have a proper natter with people you may only previously have met in passing, while chopping up sandwiches or making cups of tea.
