What it means to spare a little time for our neighbours

Please note: this post is 168 months old and The Cares Family is no longer operational. This post is shared for information only

This weekend North London Cares hit the halfway mark on The Big Chill project as we knocked our 2,000th door to deliver vital information to our more vulnerable neighbours in Islington.

The sun was shining and our volunteers were in high spirits -- it was a different scene to just two weeks ago when snow covered the ground and there was a bitter chill in the air. However, our message was as important as ever:

Even in March, our vulnerable and elderly neighbours need support to get them through the cold weather.

Below, @JoshFeldberg -- a new North London Cares volunteer -- tells us a little more about what it's like to knock on our neighbours' doors and ask them to look out for those around them.

If you have an hour or two to spare in the next couple of weeks and would like to get involved let us know.
