What older people want…

Today we gave a talk at a community centre in Camden about the work North London Cares does. We wanted to use the gathering of older people in West Hamstead to provide them with an opportunity to tell us about the type activities they'd like to take part in -- so that we can shape our activities around them.

Here are a few of the suggestions they came up with:

• A choir
• Tai Chi
• Ballroom dancing
• Film nights
• Computer skills training
• Knitting and sewing

We want to be able to offer the type of activities older people really want to be part of. If you think you'd be able to help deliver some of these activities, then please sign up. We'd love to see you there soon!
