In September, 24 North London Cares supporters walked 50km from Putney to Runnymede in the Thames Path Challenge. It was a challenging, tiring and tough walk, but our team powered through and kept smiling, despite blisters and exhaustion kicking in.
But the challenge was worth it, as cumulatively, a fantastic £14,426 was raised for North London Cares. What’s more, combined with the fundraising efforts of sister charity South London Cares, a whopping £31,041 was raised between both charities!
It’s a transformative amount and we are so proud of each and every one of our challengers for their creative fundraising efforts. From pub quizzes to breakfast feasts, our challengers put the ‘fun’ in fundraising. For our first mass participation fundraiser, £14,426 is a cracking amount and we are very proud of everyone who took part.
So huge thumbs up and big thanks to everyone who braved the 50km walk in aid of North London Cares, and to everyone who supported our brave challengers. Thanks to you, older neighbours will feel valued, vibrant and valued for months to come. From laughs with Laura in Kentish Town, to cooking with Paul in Kilburn, you've helped create conversation and companionship across in Camden and Islington. You guys rock!
