Judy Hallgarten - Head of Programmes

Judy supports the wonderful North London Cares team to deliver their programmes. She has worked across many London borough creating and managing programmes that bring people together and celebrate our amazing city. She spent 10 years working with Groundwork London and recently some time with Global Generation at their Story Garden, a meanwhile space in Somers Town, Kings Cross.

Andy Naylor - Programme Coordinator (Social Clubs)

Andy creates and runs the North London Cares Social Clubs Programme with his brilliant team mate Hannah. When he’s not putting on incredible events for older and younger neighbours he can be found running, meeting up with pals, having a dance off or eating some ice cream.

Tilly Jeune - Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator

Tilly leads on meeting new older neighbours, ensuring they feel connected to social activities and their community as well as managing our growing volunteer network. When out of the office, Tilly can be found whizzing around London on her bike, trying to find the cheapest cake spots and dancing as much as possible

Rosie Britton - Programme Coordinator (Love Your Neighbour – Islington)

Rosie coordinates our Love Your Neighbour programme in Islington, matching younger and older neighbours for one-to-one friendship in person and on the phone. When not at work, Rosie can be found exploring parks with friends, having a kitchen disco, and trying to find London’s best pizza.

Bouchra Aitlkaboud - Programme Coordinator (Love Your Neighbour – Camden)

Bouchra looks after the Love Your Neighbour programme in Camden, supporting the growth of one-to-one friendships between our younger and older neighbours. Bouchra has been a volunteer at the North London Cares for the last few years and previously worked in the travel industry.

Victoria Buckle - Head of Community Fundraising

Victoria manages community fundraising programme and corporate partnerships across The Cares Family. Victoria previously worked as a Project Manager (Development Team) at Citizens Advice in North and West Kent.

Imogen Duffin - Development Coordinator

Imogen is the Development Coordinator at North London Cares, raising money to keep our programmes free for older and younger neighbours. When Imogen is not working, she can be found playing netball across north London, meeting up with pals in her local pubs and on a Saturday night mic in hand on the karaoke floor.

Charlie Jamieson - Director of Programmes

Charlie coordinates our programmatic strategy at North London Cares and at our sibling charities South London Cares, Manchester Cares and Liverpool Cares. Previously, she managed our business partnerships at North and South London Cares and prior to that, led the Social Clubs programme at South London Cares.

Ellenor Baron - Director of Development

Ellenor develops corporate partnerships, supports our individual donors and coordinates the fundraising strategy for North London Cares and our sibling charities, South London Cares Manchester Cares and Liverpool Cares. Previously, Ellenor worked as Head of Major Gifts at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women.

Alex Smith - Founder/CEO

Alex is CEO and founder of North London Cares, South London Cares, Manchester Cares and Liverpool Cares. He was formerly an aide to Ed Miliband and editor of one of the biggest political websites in the UK. He is a governor at Holloway School and was a volunteer in Camden during the 2012 Olympics. He has been awarded two UnLtd social enterprise awards for his work founding North London Cares in 2011 and South London Cares in 2014.
