Time for Elevenses: Collective cake
Yesterday in Camden, Margaret, Laura and the gang came to visit The Collective, a regeneration project supporting start-up businesses and providing co-working space, and the home of North London Cares’ offices!

We hear from Joy, who has lived in north London her whole life, and spent part of her career working for Lyons’ tearoom in Camden Town.
For today’s elevenses we hear from Love Your Neighbour pair Ann and Adele, about baking memories from their childhoods.
As part of Cares’ Cake Week, we’re sharing baking memories from Love Your Neighbour friends from Kilburn to Kentish Town and beyond. Today we hear from Love Your Neighbour pair Chiara and Doris, about baking memories from their childhoods.
On Tuesday 21st March, North London Cares and our sister charity, South London Cares, headed to the Leicester Square Theatre for a night of comedy with Stewart Lee.
If you've been to a North London Cares social club recently, or if you've been following from afar on social media, you may well have met a Michael. Michael from Kilburn has been learning how to make puppets with Little Angel Theatre and movie-loving Michael of Archway has been enjoying films aplenty. They're everywhere, these Michael's. Well, there's another – Michael from Primrose Hill. Or as he'd prefer to be known 'Mick The Punk'!
Bringing people together in an ever changing city to share stories and memories is at the heart of all North London Cares’ activities. We spoke to two of our older neighbours, Anna and Maisie, about community, friendship and belonging and learned how they’ve both found their place in Camden and Islington.
It’s always a wonderful feeling when we see a new older neighbour become part of our community network. In this blog, our Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator Joe tells us of how he met Antonios, and the time he walked into North London Cares' Tuesday night film club in Islington. He immediately had Joe laughing with his cheeky sense of humour – and before long he had film club regular Emma in fits of giggles too.
Every day, our community network inspires us with acts of kindness and friendship. And this month, we’d like to to say a special thank you, to Catherine, Fi, Byron, and Laura who have got creative, ran and baked to make their neighbours feel vibrant, valued and visible.
We're really proud to present North London Cares' fifth annual report. Over the past five years, our model has developed and grown. In that time we've built a network of 2,250 young professionals and 2,000 older neighbours sharing time, laughter, new experiences and ultimately friendship.
