North London Cares is coming together to celebrate our community in a very special way - through a Treasure Hunt!
Meet Elizabeth. She's been a regular at events since first coming along to North London Cares' monthly Film Club held at the Marchmont Community Centre over a year ago. Keen to chat to her neighbours and happy to get involved, Elizabeth instantly found a further sense of community, belonging and value through that social club - soon enough, her diary started to look full!
I discovered North London Cares at a time when I was feeling pretty lost and unsure what I wanted to do with my life. I had been working in the media and events world, and whilst I’d had a lot of fun, I was quite unhappy. I knew I wanted something more meaningful but I had no idea where to start.
On Saturday 10th June, our supporters joined us for our first fundraising gala to help make our summer activities possible.
This month has been a busy one for our team of brave challenge fundraisers. From our runners in the Hackney Half, to our group of 15 brave walkers taking on our London 2 Brighton challenge our supporters have been super active in raising money to support their community north of the river. Thank you to our May Champions!
June, and hopefully some sunshine, is here and there are over 20 fantastic events for you to get involved in across Camden and Islington.

Our Summer Pub Quiz is taking place at 7pm on 4th July at the Grand Union Camden. Get your tickets quick and support your local community!
As May has come to an end, meet some of the Love Your Neighbour friends who were introduced over the month. The Love Your Neighbour programme connects younger and older neighbours across Camden and Islington to spend time together regularly one-to-one, sharing company and conversation.
